ArchaeoHack 2025
A look back at our incredible weekend exploring the past with the tools of the future. See what our participants achieved and browse the event gallery.
Innovation Met Ancient History
During November 15-16, 2025, students from across NYU gathered at the Bobst Library for an unprecedented challenge: building machine learning-powered recognition tools for ancient writing systems. The energy was electric as interdisciplinary teams collaborated, applying modern AI technologies to solve historical puzzles.
Supported by expert-led workshops on Vibe Coding, Machine Learning, and Ancient Languages, our participants pushed the boundaries of what's possible in digital archaeology. We are incredibly proud of all the innovative solutions presented during the closing ceremony at ISAW!
